Chris was one of my faves early on from the first audition, and that initial audition was great, at least I thought but I didn't like last week that much so I wasn't sure how this week would go.

Time After Time..not bad...but not outstanding either. He still sings like a backup singer.
Overall, I'll say I liked the song but it didn't showcase him enough.

At the beginning of the song, I wasn't so sure about it, but he made it his own during the end and it was right on. I wonder how many people know that song?

The voice was just OK. The judges didn't have the greatest things to say but I'm betting he's back next week due to his large fan base. It's sad to see such a young little guy go through this, but hey, he signed up for it!

AJ Tabaldo. Well, he sang well and he has a GREAT voice BUT overall I'm just not so sure about him as the next American Idol?

Phil Stacy: Top Ten Guys Tonight
Phil Stacy performed, Missing You and talked about his position in the military. Overall, the judges liked it. I did not like it THAT much. Simon was the only one who was vey realistic.

Tonight the top ten guys perform and tomorrow night the top ten girls perform. Hopefully the guys will do better than last week and hopefully the girls will be a little less, how shall I say it, boring?
I'm gonna take a guess and say that Blake Lewis, Chris Richardson and Phil Stacy will be favorites from tonight AGAIN!
And from the girls tomorrow night (Wednesday), undoubtedly, Lakisha Jones. Hopefully another girl shines through too!

A Competition Between Antonella & Britney??
It looks like this week more pictures of Antonella Barba were leaked out all over the Internet likely causing her popularity to surpass that of Britney's Spears' rehab & bald head stories.
To say the least, these new photos are NOT kid-friendly and I will not be posting them here. However, I don't think they are so horribly bad that it makes her a bad person because she's young, and honestly many twenty-somethings take these kinds of photos when their younger just for fun.
The bad thing is that someone decided to show them to the rest of the world. Was this necessary?
If you really feel it necessary to see these photos, they are quite easy to find online.

The 4 That Go Home...
It's past Thursday but I wanted to briefly comment about the 4 that headed home last week from the top 24.
The 4 that got booted off American Idol Season 6 first were:
Amy Krebs (Amy was in my top 6 girls!Yikes!)
Nicole Tranquillo (She wasn't bad. She just chose a bad song)
Paul Kim (I can barely remember his name no matter what and that's a bad thing all around...But it was sad to see him sad.)
Rudy Cardenas ( I had him in my possible top 6 guys. What was I thinking? I really liked his personality and happiness just seemed to exude from him but that wasn't enough. My 6 year old son said that was Happy Gilmore on TV. I wonder if Rudy gets that alot?)
The remaining boys will be back Tuesday night

Top 12 Girls Performance
Well, the girls definitely did better than the guys overall but still I was kind of bored with some of their performances. I was also disappointed in a few of the girls based on their earlier performances.
My ultimate favorite of the night was Lakisha Jones who I think will go very far in this competition and she deserves it. She truly is in a WHOLE different league than the rest of these singers. But will she win?
Other good performances of the night were Amy Krebs, Gina Glockson, and Nicole Tranquillo. I was also quite surprised by Sabrina Sloan. Who were you surprised by during last night's girls performances?
I'm thinking Alaina Alexander is going home as well as Antonella Barba or Haley Scarnato unless they have big fan bases. Maybe people will keep them around for their looks? Personality? The Top 12 Guys Performance
While the guys were singing their songs, I was puking in the toilet. Seriously, some 24 hour bug bit me and it wasn't pretty.
I wasn't fully coherent last night due to the above mentioned issue, so was it just me or did the guys SUCK. I actually thought Blake Lewis sounded good and had the best performance of the night. And, he's not even in my top 12 predictions. But, he is now. I'm changing it.
As far as who will get voted off tomorrow night, I'm going with either Sundance Head, Sanjaya Malakar, Rudy Cardenas, or Paul Kim. In my honest opinion (which probably doesn't count for much) Jason "Sundance" Head had the worst performance ever.

Tvsquad along with many of their commenters are posting their predictions for American Idol's top 12 contestants. It's still a little too early for me because I haven't seen a whole lot from some of the contestants. But I'm going to take a chance and go ahead and post my initial predictions right now. I'm sure I'll be revising this over the coming weeks because I don't think I'm all that great at predicting judged primarly on what these finalists look like and the brief singing that we've seen. Top 24 Idol Photos & Information
You can now go to the official American Idol website and see photos and facts about the top 24 american idol season 6 finalists.
Now that I have done that, I know who another one of my favorites is from last night that I hadn't seen before. It's Amy Krebs. From what little I got to see of her, her singing style and sound is really unique. I'm rooting for her too.

Top 24 Idol Season Six Finalists Revealed
So, the list floating around was correct and we now have our top 24 finalists of American Idol season six.
It's still to early for me to pick a favorite but I will share with you a few opinions on some of the finalists.
Sundance Head. I don't know how he got through. He seemed to be a front runner early on in the original audition rounds but, now, he doesn't compare to many of the singers. I'll predict he gets cut early unless he has a major transformation. I just don't think he can do much.
Antonella Barba. She's a good singer and has the looks...very beautiful but she forgot her words while the one she was paired with, Marissa, did not. She clearly got through on her looks.
Chris Sligh. Probably one of the most promising ones. I predict he will definitely make top 10 or at least I'm hoping so.
Lakeesha Jones & Phil Stacey. I'm rooting for them strictly because they have children and that's a good enough reason. I hope they go far...very far.
Rudy Cardenas. He actually stood out among the guys tonight.
Oh, and there was one other girl, straight blonde hair, that I really liked but had never seen before..can't remember her name but I'll know once I see her photo. She was one of the girls that stood out.

Favorites Go Home During Hollywood Rounds
Boo hoo...some of my favorites..well, my most favorite went home during the Hollywood rounds tonight. They sure made the Hollywood rounds go by quick didn't they? It would be nice if they spent more time on showing it than the bad auditions first time around. Honestly, I got a little confused from last night. Anyone agree?
Sean Michel..GONE..and we only briefly got to see him. Why?
Bailey Brown...GONE. Too bad she forgot her words because she is an amazing singer even if her website is a little creepy.

Texas' Very Own Baylie Brown...
American Idol is on a commercial break so I thought I'd login and just briefly say that 16 year old Baylie Brown is definitely a hopeful contender in the top 40. If not idol, how about Nashville?
Simon didn't think her singing was that great but he said she was made to be a pop star. How about country star? She sounds so much like Natalie from the Dixie Chicks. I really liked her voice. Anyway, she made it to Hollywood. I actually like this young girl.

Sean Michel Disqualified Rumor/Spoiler
It looks like a rumor is circulating around online about Sean Michel being disqualified. The rumor going around the web is that he was disqualified during the Hollywood round due to not cutting his hair and beard. We should find out next week whether the actual rumor comes true or not. If you believe the rumor of the top 24 contestants then I guess you don't need to worry about this one, huh?

Do you think a contestant should be disqualified for not wanting to change his or her look? Look at Taylor, he's completely gray and won! I'm thinking this specific rumor is not true or atleast hopeful that this rumor is not true because it just doesn't make sense. Something else could have caused a disqualification, however.

I Promise I'm Done After This
UPDATE: We're sort of fixed. New logo added...
If you've been stopping by here for 2007 American Idol news, recaps, or just whatever is going on with American Idol then you will have noticed that I have gone mad with changing this template. You will see that the header is currently gone and all the links but no worries, ok, as everything will be back to normal in a few hours and you will get to see my face up here again ;)
I don't know why I chose to use blogger when doing this blog as wordpress would have been better and easier. Anyway, I promise this is my last attempt at changing my template. Now, if only blogger beta would work... Sigh... Come back tonight for a whole new much IMPROVED look that I'm happy to announce will NOT be done by myself.

You will see that the header is currently gone and all the links but no worries, ok, as everything will be back to normal in a few hours and you will get to see my face up here again ;)
I don't know why I chose to use blogger when doing this blog as wordpress would have been better and easier. Anyway, I promise this is my last attempt at changing my template. Now, if only blogger beta would work... Sigh... Come back tonight for a whole new much IMPROVED look that I'm happy to announce will NOT be done by myself.
For now, excuse the mess and the bland template. I promise, it will get better...
