Up first in the Top 6 last night was Chris R. He sang pretty good but he got a little manic in the end. Not my favorite of the night but he was good.
Melinda sounded great as usual but her singing is too boring for my taste.
Blake sand "Imagine" which is one of my favorite songs. He did great.. I'm a little surprised that he didn't mix it up as usual. He's still my fave!
Lakisha, like Melinda, also sounded good as usual but I wasn't digging that song too much. I'm thinking she's in trouble.
Phil Stacey, as usual he starts off a little rough but ended on a good note. I'm not a big fan of his voice nor his singing style. Let's see if he sticks around for another week.
Jordin, she was again really good. Always emotional and sweet.
My Bottom 3:
Lakisha
Phil
Blake ( I hate to say it and I'll be very very happy if I'm wrong)

I Might Be a Blaker Girl...
Blake Lewis may officially be my favorite American Idol Season 6 contestant. I actually thought I would never pick a favorite this season because no one really stood out for me like last year's Chris Daughtry. However, Blake's performances have been solid and original each and every week. He is deserving of favorite status.
I hope to see him in the finals.

The Top 8: Who's Going Home?
Last night's Top 8 performances were just BLAH. Latin music definitely did not work for most of them. Nothing exciting. Nothing special.
Of course that is just my opinion and I'm sure many people out there adored these performances. Now, I did like Blake's performance(as usual) and surprisingly Phil's performance but the rest were just boring for me.
As for who should go home? We all know that right? Sanjaya should go home but will he? NO. Does it suck that he gets to stay another week while one of the better singers leave? YES. Oh well.
So who will go home? I think it will be either Haley, Lakisha or Jordin. A shocker would be Chris R.
Tune in to the 1 hour special tonight to see Jennifer Lopez perform and to see who's going home.

Gina Glockson Goes Home
Gina should not have gone home. She has a great voice. She deserved to be there a litte while longer and along with Sanjaya, I can think of a couple more that should have gone home before her.
I'm sure she will do great outside of American Idol, however.
What do you think? Did this shock anyone?

Who Will Be Going Home Tonight?
I honestly didn't like any of last night's performances. They were all boring. Am I being a bit harsh? Probably. It wasn't the singers. It was the type of music. That stuff usually puts me to sleep. I would have liked for someone to have sung The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra. That's probably one of the few songs that I really like from that type of music but no one did.
If I had to choose a favorite from last night, I'd go with Chris Richardson.
Who do I think is going home? Phil, Haley or Gina... Most likely Gina.
Who do I want to go home? Well, that's obvious. Sanjaya. The poor kid cannot sing. Can he perform? Sure! Either way, it's giving American Idol tons of extra publicity.
Hopefully next week will be better overall...
