Will David Cook Win it?

Up until now I haven't chosen favorites in this competition but after David Cook performed Billie Jean I was seriously amazed! His solid and unique performances over the past few weeks make him the most impressive contestant so far! His take on Billie Jean was brilliant and he deserves to be in the top 3 and possibly deserves to win it all!

As far as the other contestants, Michael John's performance tonight was pretty good and Brooke's was OK too but I wasn't impressed with the remaining performances. Were you? Who were your favorites of the night? Any surprises?

In other Idol related news, it appears that the adorable Josiah Leming has landed a record deal with Warner Bros. He totally deserves it. Go Josiah! I'll be on the lookout for his CD.

David Hernandez Voted Off!

Good bye David Hernandez. I'm not quite sure America got it right. Did the controversy surrounding him hurt his chances?

What do you think?

So, Who's Going Home Tonight on American Idol?

Here it is almost time for one of the top 12 to be voted out and I'm just now doing a recap of last night's performances. Anyway, I'll make this really quick without the full run down as I usually do. Instead I'll put the hopeful idols in order from 1-12, 1 being the best and 12 being the worst.

Here goes...

My favorites of the night were :

1. David Cook
2. Jason Castro
3. Michael Johns
4. Brooke White

Good but not good enough last night:
5. Carly Smithson
6. David Archuletta
7. Chikezie

The forgettable but solid performances:
8. Ramiele Malubay
9. Syesha Mercado

Not good at all last night:
10. David Hernandez - I'm usually a fan :(
11. Amanda Overmyer
12. Kristy Lee Cook

So, it's easy to figure out who I think should go home based on my scale above.

Who I think should go home: Kristy Lee Cook or Amanda Overmyer.
Who will probably go home: Syesha, David H. or Ramiele

The best of the night: David Cook by far!!!

So, with all that being said, who do think is going home? Any shockers tonight?

My Favorite, Asia'h Epperson Goes Home

The results show went on without me watching on Thursday night. I had other obligations so I didn't hear about who got voted off until yesterday afternoon. I have to say that I was shocked when I heard that my favorite female contestant, Asia'h, was voted off.

The other contestants voted off were Luke Menard, Danny Noriega, and Kady Malloy. Those three were expected but Asia'h was definitely top 10 material. Amanda Overmyer, Kristy Lee Cook, Syesha Mercado, or even Carly Smithson should have went home before Asia'h Epperson. What do you think happened? Did she get voted out due to song choice? Do you think American got it right?

Top 8 guys: 80's Week!

First of all, WOW, the guys did incredible last night. This was by far the best performances of the season so far and probably one of the best nights out of American Idol ever. Of course this is just my opinion but the guys were that good with the exception of one weak performance. And, now on to the recap of the guys...

Luke Menard: Yes, he was the one weak performance. I think he will definitely be leaving the show tomorrow night. Good bye eye candy. Your an Ok singer, just not top 12 material.

David Archuleta: Awww, I'm starting to like the little guy.

Danny Noriega: Let me just say that this little guy confuses me. He's adorable and I think He would be a great actor. He's a good singer but not among the top performers.

David Hernandez: So, this guy was a stripper. BIG DEAL. I think most of us have done things we later regret and sometimes we do things because we have too. And, sometimes we do things because we WANT to. Get over it. David H. did great last night even though he had a few mistakes and sung a Celine Dion song. Overall, he deserves top 12.

Michael Johns: Really Loved the song but I'm not liking him so much. He's not doing anything different. Can he sing anything else?

David Cook. Reminded me of Chris Daughtry. Loved this song choice and his version of it. IMO, the best performance of the night.

Jason Castro: I can't say this enough! He is so unique! A great performance, second best of the night!

Chikezie: I really want to like Chikezie. He's a good singer but unfortunately not top 12 material. I wonder if the voting public will agree?

My favorites of the night: Can I choose them all? Actually, I'll go with David Cook

Who I want to go home based on last night's performances: Luke Menard, Danny, or Chikezie. I would say Michael Johns because overall I don't like him that much but his performance last night was great or maybe I just really love that 80s song. :)

Who I think will go home:
Luke and David H. (is the controversy hurting him?), or Chikezie

I wonder if the girls will do as well as the guys did last night. What do you think?
