American Idol Results: Group 1
Dial Idol was right once again as Danny, Alexis, and Michael made it to the top 12 last night on American Idol. I'm happy with the choices that were made but would like to see Anoop possibly back as a wildcard. What do you think? Who would like to see come back? FYI: Next week the loaded Group 2 will perform on Wednesday night instead of the regular Tuesday night and the results show will be on Thursday. Semi Finals Group #1 Recap
I'm not going to go into a full recap here because you can read some really great recaps all over the Internet at the moment. Some of our favorites recaps from last night's semi-finals are VFTW, Idolbloglive & Idol Chatter The 3 Best Contestants of The Night:Danny Gokey. The highlight of the night!! He's definitely going to the next round. Alexis Grace. I didn't really like the song she chose but she has awesome vocals. I loved Simon's comment about her. Tatiana Del Torro. I know, a HUGE surprise but the contestants last night were HORRIBLE so I really didn't have much to choose from. In all honesty, though, she actually sang most of her song well. The 3 Worst Contestants of The Night:Casey Carlson. This girl is absolutely gorgeous but she CANNOT sing. Brent Keith Smith. I did not like the song. In general, I don't like him as a singer. Stevie Wright. I think she's going home. And, that's all I'm saying because she's 16 and snarky is not something I like being when it comes to the younger crowd. The other six were not memorable at all for me other than Anoop & Michael and that's just because they were both some of my favorites before last night's episode. I'm hoping Anoop gets another chance. And even with Michael Sarver's very off performance of Gavin Degraw's "I Don't Want To Be" I'd like to see more of him. Hollywood Episode #3: Tatiana Style
Last night we saw the last of the Hollywood singing rounds. I'm so glad that part is over and we can get to the top 36 tonight. There was only 1 surprise when it came down to the people that went home. Louisville auditioner Laneshe Young was sent home when it clearly should have been Tatiana Del Torro. I'm still a bit confused on why they gave Tatiana another chance. She can't possibly be in the top 36, right? Anyway, let's get down to who we liked last night and who we didn't. Who Stood Out:Danny Gokey. He sang Dance and I got chills. Definitely top 36 material. Matt Girard. He sang Georgia On My Mind. Another awesome performance. Definitely top 36 material. Adam Lambert. Still a bit theatrical. But I like him. Kendall Beard. I'm really liking her voice. Nick Mitchell or (Norman/Normund) This guy needs to get his real act together because he can really sing. Who Should Have Went Home That Didn't:Tatiana Del Torro. Um, Tatiana Del Torro. Did you see the others faces when she was switched to their room? Can't wait till tonight to see who makes the top 36? Well here's a list but I'm not sure it's totally accurate. I guess we will see in a few hours. Live Blogging Gone Wrong
I encountered a problem when live blogging Wednesday night's American Idol episode. As I was beginning to live blog, my laptop battery crapped out on me (died). When I tried to charge it I realized that my charger was broken thus rendering my laptop useless for the rest of the night. I want to apologize for not getting this message up sooner. :) Have a great weekend. Labels: live blogging

Good night and thanks for visiting! Labels: live blogging
It's Bikini Girl Again & Jeremy Sarver
Katrina - bikini girl sings Breathe. Does she have enough to get through? Apparently so because she just got through along with everyone else in her group. Jeremy Sarver. Father. He's singing one of my favorite songs by Gavin Degraw. Randy says one of the best I've heard today. I totally agree. I'm liking Jeremy. Back row gets through which means Jeremy is through. Jesus is going home. Up next the last contestants take the stage. Only 5 minutes till Fringe and Joshua Jackson. ;) Labels: Jeremy Sarver, Katrina Bikini Girl, live blogging
Day 2 Of Hollywood
It's now Day 2 in Hollywood where the other half takes the stage... Let's see how it goes. I'm ready to be impressed. I have yet to be so far. Jackie Tohn. Randy says she's definitely kinda wild. Paula says we'd miss you if you weren't here. I like her. And, we hear no one else from this group Front row including Jackie gets through. Their going on about wrong songs again... Now on to Danny Gokey and Jamar Rogers. Randy says he's a big fan of Jamar. Me too. Danny sings a very cool song from Seal. Paula says I love you. I like him. Definitely one to watch. Both are through. Yes! Yet another group gets through Push- Definitely want to see this movie soon. How can you not want to see a movie with Chris Evans and Djimon Hounsou? Only 15 minutes till Fringe. Labels: live blogging
Groups 3 and 4: Nick/Norman???
Group 3... Stephen Fowler. I don't remember him from the audition rounds. Jorge Nunez. I'm just not that into him. However, Paula is. Von Smith. I like him but he's theatrical. Simon says indulgent nonsense. Heh. Back row stays in Hollywood including all 3 guys. Now, their talking about song choice. Guess what? It is important. Up next, group 4... Nick Mitchell. Used the name Norman to get through the auditions. Is playing Norman now. This guy can really sing but what's up with him? Hoping to see the real him at some point. Judgement time for group 4. Nick/Norman in. Scott M. in. New mom Frankie Jordan in. Only 30 more minutes till Fringe. Labels: live blogging, Nick Mitchell, Norman
Group 2: Everyone Gets Through!
Here goes group 2... Up first emotional New Yorker Nathaniel Marshall. The song sucks but Nathaniel can sing. Anoop... he's looking a little less Silicon Valley/Geeky tonight. Sounds good. Jasmine - Kara say she has raw natural talent. She's good but she doesn't really stand out. Rose Flack - I really really wanted to like her but is she right for this show? The entire group of 8 gets through.. Wow, even I'm surprised. Just saw a commercial for Madagascar 2 on DVD Friday. My 2 kids will be thrilled! I cannot wait for Fringe. .. UP NEXT. Live Blogging Hollywood Round
We're live blogging tonight's Hollywood round episode. Who will fail? Who will go on? Up first, the hopefuls sing acapella. Here goes... Lil' Rounds. Good. Gets a standing ovation from Paula and Kara. Dennis. Not good. Simon says no one will take him seriously as a recording artist. I agree. Lil' in. Dennis Out. And, Dennis has a little breakdown... Coke commercial...yum... reminds me how I'm trying to not drink Coke. Oh, I really want to see He's Just Not That Into You. Labels: Hollywood week, live blogging
