New York. New York. On my list of places to travel but somehow we always end up at the beach every year... hmmm...
My 5 1/2 year old son (let's call him Bam) finally sat down and watched American Idol with me last night. Last year he was fascinated with the singing. This year not so much. He say's they are all "crapola". You think it's because he's normally belting out lyrics from Adema? He goes around the house singing(or, um, screaming), "...I know who you are, the leader of lost souls...you can't kill me...I'm immortal...". Bam did make a comment about liking Nicholas Pedro, however... hmmm...
Ok, on to the auditions. Since New York actually had quite a few decent auditions I really can't just pick two to highlight like I have been doing so I'll just comment on a few extra, ok.
Jenry. Well, it's safe to say that Jenry is a cutie. Definitely looks older than 16 and sings older songs too. I think the girls will like him. Paula certainly does. Sorry, Paula, he's too young for you. And, he can sing really really well. He has a chance to go far in this competition. If not, I'm sure we will see him in a GAP or Calvin Klein ad.
Rachel Zevita. She's definitely different but has an amazing voice and she proved that she really can sing anything. She's perfect for American Idol.
Antonella Barba- Part two of the best friends duo. She sang much better than her friend and actually she sang quite well BUT she's too cookie-cutter. I guess that's the way American Idol likes them.
Chris Richardson. Good looks. Good singing. I think he will do well. However, he does NOT look like Justin Timberlake. Seriously.
Now on to the bad ones...
Isadora & Ian...Wow. They were horrid. Enough said...
So did you find your favorite in last night's New York auditions?

I like the cookie cutter girl. What does that mean anyway? That last girl wasn't just horrid. She must have been on drugs.
I haven't seen any auditions I wanted to yet. I am waiting for texas and Atlanta. I knew some people that audioned in Atlanta so I will be watching for those.
By far the best city so far for the males. I still have my favorites from Seattle. It will take a lot to get me away from Shyamali Malakar.
Hi Dj Slim,
Actually I think her brother was better but overall I think they are both good and will do well on AI this year. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Tasha, cookie-cutter, to me, means the standard every day pretty girl look that lacks originality.
Yes, possibly on something..LOL
Are your friends going to be on tv? Let me know.
