Season 8 of American Idol started out in Phoenix, Arizona with a new judge, Kara DioGuardi. We sat through two days of mostly painful auditions , a few good auditions, and a "bikini girl".
So we're a bit late on the recaps due to an internet outage for nearly the last 24 hours so instead of a full length recap of last night's first episode we are just going to give you a "best of" from around the web! Enjoy!
