A first in American Idol history - Instead of having a top 12 there is now a top 13. The 4 that made it through after singing their hearts out were:

Matt Giraud (fave)
Megan Corkrey (growing on me)
Jasmine Murray (would have rather have seen Jesse Langseth in her place)

Indina Ido which si a "franchise" of American idol had teh same format this year. There were 8 contestants brought back for 3 remainign spots and instead of 3, 4 were selected. So...maybe they etsted the audience response to thsi new "spontaneous change" which Simon said they "just decided on"
Is it me, or does American Idol feel a bit more chaotic this year than in previous years?
